CCIQ Technology has today opened a ‘Business Recovery Centre’ in Bundaberg for flood affected small business in Bundaberg, providing essential communications and technological services for the business community.

The Bundaberg Business Recovery Centre located on the corner of Tantitha and Quay Street, Bundaberg, is currently open between 7:30am and 6:30pm (although the hours are extendible) and can accommodate 30 users at a time in a hot-desk environment.

Anyone needing help in getting back to business is welcome to make use of the Centre. For details businesses can contact Cameron Bisley via the Bundaberg Office of Economic Development at www.businessbundaberg.com.au.

CCIQ Technology Chair, Maree Adshead said, "CCIQ Technology put out an urgent call to our network late last week and created a rapid response."

"The result being our Business Recovery Centre which is now open and is actively helping flood affected businesses in Bundaberg get back to business faster.

"Last Friday afternoon I waved off the Bundy bound 4WD driven by Cisco’s Dale Smith, loaded with 14 rugged laptops donated by TLC iTSolutions, 2 multi-function printers donated by Ricoh, together with routers and networking equipment from Cisco.

"In the meantime Telstra was on location setting up the communications in preparation for our arrival.

"The local IT business community has also leapt behind this worthy initiative by providing local technical support at the Centre.

"In a short space of time, the technology industry has come together to help businesses. We are working with the local Office of Economic Development to assess the ongoing needs and requirements, it may be that we decide to open a second location in the coming days.

"CCIQ Technology would like to thank the efforts of Cisco, Telstra, TLC iTSolutions, Ricoh, D2K, Stanzah IT, Bundaberg Computer Centre, the Bundaberg Council and Bundaberg Office of Economic Development and the many others whom have given so generously of their time and resources – this fantastic facility is going to make a massive difference to those who really need it."
